Sacraments · Anointing & Funerals
Present in the
hardest hours.
When someone you love is seriously ill, dying, or has died, you don't need to know the right words or the right steps. Call us — the parish will carry what can be carried.
Anointing of the Sick
The Anointing of the Sick is the Church's sacrament of healing and strength — for anyone facing serious illness, surgery, or the frailty of age, not only the final hours. It can be received more than once.
- For urgent need, call the parish at 905-522-9828.
- If a loved one is admitted to hospital, tell the staff they are Catholic and ask for the chaplain — and let the parish know too.
- Communion can be brought regularly to the sick and homebound by our Compassionate Care ministry.
Funerals
-
Start with your funeral home
Funerals are arranged through the funeral home, which contacts the parish to set the date.
-
Plan the liturgy together
A member of the parish team helps you choose readings and music, and shapes a funeral Mass or Liturgy of the Word that honours your loved one.
-
Our care continues
Grief outlasts the funeral. The parish community is here for you in the weeks and months ahead.
